Title: Kickstarters
Post by: DM Heatstroke on April 10, 2012, 08:29:52 AM
Just in case you haven't heard about them, there are two upcoming PC RPG games getting the Kickstarter treatment that you guys may be interested in.

Wasteland 2 (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/inxile/wasteland-2)

The sequel to the game that originally birthed the Fallout series & headed up by the geniuses behind such games as The Bard's Tale, Fallout, Baldur's Gate & Planescape: Torment.

Shadowrun Returns (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1613260297/shadowrun-returns)

I don't know as much about this one, but I do know it's being created by the man originally behind Shadowrun & wants to stay true to the PnP RPG.  It will also have a level editor where you can design your own "runs" for others to play.  Kinda like an "Unlimited Adventures (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Forgotten_Realms:_Unlimited_Adventures)" for Shadowrun.

My wife supported Wastelands 2 and I supported Shadowrun.  I'm looking forward to some new gaming next year.  :)

Looks like Shadowrun Online (http://www.kickstarter.com/projects/1964352341/shadowrun-online) might be the 1st "big name" PC game Kickstarter to miss it's funding goal.

8 hours left & $26k to go.  If you like Shadowrun go throw them a few bucks, I'm a $55 pledge myself.
