Title: Archivist learning spells
Post by: Necro on August 22, 2013, 02:21:17 PM
I am finding that my Archivist (5), Runecaster (10), Heirophant (1) cannot scribe many scrolls into his spellbook that the class description in the PRC manual says I should.

EX: Finger of death and monster summoning VIII

This limitation means that an Archivist needs to be kept single class so that the 2 spells per level auto learn allows spell scribing.  But that is a bummer as no prestigue classes or can't get spells for high level spell slots.

Try removing prc_data* files from NWN\database directory. After you do that, start a new game (do not load a saved file!). New database file should be created. Then you can load your saved game.

The file with archivist spells has almost 3000 entries and it's not always cached properly.

I have the same problem. My spellbook just have the level0 (tricks) icon. without any spell on it. So i chose with the prc menu my first level spells, and it add nothing.

Spells for PRC classes don't appear in the spell book. You can find them in the radial menu for the class, just as you would find feats.
