Title: Scribe Rune concern

I have an Archivist (6), Hierophant (5), Runecaster (14).  I have been creating runes and for the most past it has worked fine.  However, when I created a rune of Finger of death, I find it doesn't work.  When I use the rune to cast on an enemy, nothing happens but a charge is used.  My other runes have worked fine.  Is there something I can do to get FoD working on my runes as I like the spell?

Runes can only target the user. Finger of death doesn't do anything to fiendlies, so nothing will appear to happen.

I don't believe there's a way around this without fiddling with the scripts.

Exactly - runes can only target the activator. They are mostly used for buffing, but some offensive spells work as well.

Ah!  So AoE spells and self spells.
