Title: New patch in the works
Post by: CapnQ on November 22, 2010, 01:06:12 PM
FYI, I expect to have a patch in the next couple of days that fixes a couple of longstanding PnP Shifter issues and adds a number of new chat commands. It can be for the 3.4 release or not, whatever makes most sense.

What's the current state of pnp shifter in 3.4 beta? i thought about playing sou+hotu and maybe other modules using pnp shifter but should i wait for the patch or is it playable?

Thanks,

Very playable now--go ahead and start if you would like. In any case, I think you should be able to start now and update to the patched version later and have it work ok.

Thanks, i played through SOU and it was a great class to play with, now i am at the beginning of hotu and planned to go usual monk/shifter style build but i noticed that i didn't get any extra attacks by taking a level of monk, is this changed in prc? to compare, 5 druid/10 shifter/1 monk has 4 attacks/round without prc as 5 druid/10pnpshifter/1 monk has only 2 attacks per round when unarmed or in shifted form.

EDIT: after looking through the switches i found PRC_BIOWARE_MONK_ATTACKS which made it work like it does without prc.

Glad you figured it out--I was unaware of that option. Oddly enough, although I've played the PnP Shifter class a lot, I've never used it in combination with the Monk class yet.
