Title: Extra Kalashtar feats preventing levelling
Post by: DivideByZero on November 26, 2010, 01:21:44 AM
So, I've made a Xeph Soulknife before, and things worked out fine then, but when I tried making a Bralani Eladrin or Zakya Rakshasa Soulknife, the character creator gives me all the Kalashtar feats, which prevent me from levelling up, leaving me stuck at level one :(. If anyone knows why this is happening or how to fix it, that would be great.

Helping you would be much easier if you specified which character creator do you use and your PRC version. I've tried creating Bralani and Zakya soulknifes with JavaCC and PRC 3.4 beta - everything works OK there, so I'm assuming you were using ConvoCC. I'll try that later, because I don't have any modules with ConvoCC setup right now :P.

Yeah, sorry that was my bad. I'm using the 3.4 beta, and what I thought to be the JavaCC, which I downloaded here: http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Other.Detail&id=1435, although maybe I got mixed up and am using the other one and not the Java version (running Windows 7).

Nope, that's JavaCC. As I said it works fine for me. Is it set-up correctly (JavaCC manual (http://www.nwnprc.com//nwn/english/content/installation/jcc.htm))?  Have you modified any of the PRC haks?

Yeah, it's set up properly, and no, I haven't modified any of the hak files. Now, when you said you got it working, did you go and check the feats after finalizing the character? Because when I was first selecting feats, it was fine, but when I clicked finalize and checked it after, it added all the Kalashtar racial soulknife feats.

Yes, I did - even tested the bic in game.

Exactly which kalashtar feats are added?

It gives me the Soulblade Warrior, Spiritual Force, and Shield of Thought feats, and depending on gender/alignment, it will either show up when I'm choosing my feats, or right after I pick them.

Alright, well we can close this topic now; I figured out what was happening. For some reason, if I press "Recommended" for feats, it would automatically assign the Kalashtar racials as well as the regular level 1 feat.

That's because there are no default packages for PRC classes yet.

Heh, that's why it worked for me - I never press 'recommended' button ;p
