The resolve of an Incarnate...
The pure belief of a Soulborn...
The wild power of a Totemist...
All these (and possibly more...) can be yours, with the upcoming addition of...
INCARNUM MAGIC.
(Too Much Advertising; Didn't Read: I'm working on code to implement Incarnum classes and feats.)
Coming to a NWVault near you (probably) this summer.
UPDATE: I will be able to start work (lost what I had in a toddler attack) as of this edit (12/28/2012). I will need a volunteer(s) to test the actual gameplay, however, as I have an "Ess-Star-Star-Tee" computer when it comes to graphics. Merry/Happy all of these (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Category:Winter_holidays).

I wish you the best of luck - it's a hard work and a lot of it :)
I'd be very glad if you made it.

Same here, other than Incarnum magic, I have been hoping that Shadow magic will also make its way to NWN at some point.

There is a little shadow magic...not a buttload, mostly just the Shadow Weave feat and the Shadow Adept PrC.
-
Yeah, I intend to submit this to the PRC.
I can do the code-monkey parts of this, but I will probably need somebody else to do the graphics-ferret portions. Any volunteers?

Tell me what spells, feats & classes you need icons for, XWarren has a GIMP routine of some sort that makes them appear more uniform in regard to size & colorization.

True, but first I would need actual images that would be converted into NWN icons.
-
I can do icons, I meant more like VFX for the Soulmelds.

Yes, but I was most looking at the system presented in the Tome of Magic, along with the suggestions the author made to make the system more workable. The Shadow Blade prestige class is already in the PRC.

Hrm...Due to the way items are handled by NWN, some Chakra will be merged, and some Soulmelds modified. Chakras will be merged (With grades separated by 4 hyphens) as follows:
Crown and Brow will be combined into Crown.
Feet will be unchanged.
----
Hands and Arms will be merged into Arms.
Shoulders will remain the same.
----
Throat will stay unmodified.
Waist will also be unchanged
----
Heart and Soul will be merged into Soul.
Aside from that, and perhaps the changing around of some soulmelds, everything else will stay as close to the book as possible.

will we get spell recharge as well?

I'm not sure what you mean.

I'm not sure what you mean.
I'm sure it is somehow connected to incarnum magic ;p
-
one of the incarnum rules is that spellcaster (ALL of them) recharge their magic spells at a certain rate, without resting. said speed depends on - spontaneous or not/divine or arcane - spellcaster

I'm not sure if there is even a function that can do that in NWN.

IIRC I read about similar rules in Unearthed Arcana.
-
ah, erm, it's not the same?
-
I would not know how to code spell recharge, and I apologize, but if Incarnum ever come to PRC, it will not be for a while. Unanticipated move + applying for college + setting up GURPS campaign = frazzled Eoin.
-
How's your time now? Will you be able to resume your work on the incarnum system?
-
...Maybe. I'd have to re-download the PRC stuff, and I'd need to get my laptop fixed (The computer I'm posting from can barely handle vanilla NWN).

That's an Unearthed Arcana rule, not MoI.

I might be able to help with that a bit in my spare time, though I probably won't be able to make a whole playthrough through a campaign. More like testing in char creator, taking different soulmelds each time.
-
Thanks. Funny thing, you don't "take" soulmelds. You know all the melds on your list and shape them after resting. the "Shape Soulmeld" feat may need some testing, however. It'll be hell to code.
-
Heh, alright then. I think I should open my Magic of Incarnum copy...
-
Just curious if there was any progress on this?
-
No, I've been really busy, and I lost all the files. I need to start over.
-
Malonkey, how has it been? Have you been able to work more on this project? I see you are still active on the forums :)

Ugh, not good. I have some ideas for implementing it, but I'm swamped with college. I'll see what I can get done after the semester's over, though. If you want, I could link to the notes I have so far.
-
Hoping you will show up someday ;)
Any news? Or have you already scrapped the whole project?
I would gladly take the notes you offered ;)

My laptop had a run-in with an automobile, so I lost everything. I still want to do this, now that I have a new laptop. I just need to find some free time.
