Wow....okay, so the crickets are now overpowering this topic.

How about this....

1) what mod would you LIKE to see modified for PRC?

2) what limits would you want to see at PRC?

3) which category? (PW Story, PW Action, Social, RP or which?)

General Discussion / Re: The status of the PRC

I think this topic needs to stay active so someone might realize that there are a few of us that would like to play it. Most people, however, are afraid of trying it out as we hear from "everyone" that it's buggy. I've been on a few sites back in the day that had it and they went down...had nothing to do with PRC being buggy, had to do with problems with Time Warner Cable wanting to charge an arm, leg and first born child to host a server and objecting to someone having a dedicated comp running a game that might have up to 25 or 30 people on it.  Since there are further fiscal complications, all stemming from corporate greed of cable suppliers, AND two or three of the persons running the sites running into RL problems that made them bail, all my home places went away.

That said, I know of two that are now in process of getting PRC sites up and running again.  Looking over the NWN options out there, some might consider limiting the mods run insofar as overpowered races and such, but that's for a different post.

PEACE!

No idea, on how to fix that, just wanted you to know that someone saw your question.  People do show up from time to time. Not as often as would be nice, but more than at an anniversary.  Keep checking and you'll eventually get an answer.

Sorry I couldn't be any help.

Hey, Hey!

Thanks for the response, and I understand RL issues all too well.  I look forward to seeing your site go up and will jump in once I do.

Hope things work out for ya.

Okay, Oct. 2, 2016

Read 846 times since it was originally posted, and I figger that I wasn't the only one looking.  I made a mod, ages back, with CEP 2.4 and PRC (forget which version) loaded and it worked pretty well, until Time Warner got mad about me hosting a game and wanted to charge me an arm, leg and first born child.  Well, my kid objected, and I'm an okay father and didn't force that on her.  But, was kinda thinking about doing this again, if I can find a host.

was wondering what the status is of this...that is, if anyone involved still checks this board.

Well, since no one else is responding, I guess I will.  I tried playing at a site called Harrowport

http://forest-of-woe.proboards.com/conversation/11736#ixzz4ForiwhFs

Wasn't able to figure anything out, so, I'll post more when I do.  If you go to

http://www.nwnlist.com/#

You can still find NWN and NWN2 sites running and the direct connect code to get in.  Happy Hunting  8)

Okay, it's September and the year has almost passed, but I'd still like to have SOMEWHERE where people can let us (maybe just "me") know where they have a PRC (modified or not) module up and running.  If you do, please post it.  Tell us a bit about it (shouldn't be a book, but something where you say "we only play weebles, but we wobble a lot" or some such). I've seen all of about 20 people here in the past two weeks.  Not much to go on, but it's a start.  If you post it, maybe they'll come.

besides, somewhere out there it said that this place was shutting down in two weeks and that was 6 years ago.  If it's still up, there's gotta still be something out there.

Well, I know of two persons looking to build and launch mods. One will be an adults only site and the other a general. I had a couple of questions, such as "how does PRC work with Project Q," if at all.  Looks like it will be a minimum 6 months before the launch of either of those sites, though.  Patience is not really my forte, I suppose  8)

POSTED SEPTEMBER 25, 2016

Okay, there is hardly anything here.  Hoping someone might drop in, such as a DM and tell me that there is a mod or two still up somewhere to save the time of trying to piece together something.  If you go to

http://www.nwnlist.com/#

you'll find a fairly large group of both NWN and NWN2 sites open and running with about 1000 people altogether playing.  Not sure if the number of players is right or not, tho.

Anyway...

Hello
Is there anybody in there
Just nod if you can hear me
Is there anyone at home?

THIS POST PUT UP ON SEPTEMBER 24, 2016

Not sure if there are any PRC-NWN1 sites up any longer.  If anyone knows of any, please respond.  If anyone's out there still looking over this board, please respond.  Sheesh.

Kinda feel like I walked into a ghost town....haven't seen any tumbleweeds, though, so maybe.... :o
