Help / Drunken Master "Stagger" Not Fully Functional
« on: November 11, 2009, 03:03:09 PM »
Howdy!  Firstly I'd like to say kudos and thanks to the crew of PRC for keeping my interest in a 7 year old game (which is positively ancient in gaming years)!  You guys rock!

Now for my help question! I apologize if I am overly verbose.

I've always liked the monk, and the Drunken Master looked awesome, so I went with it. I am playing as a half-orc level 6 monk, level 2 Drunken Master (excellent!), but when I try out "stagger" it does not appear to function as intended! I "cast" charge from a ho tkey upon an enemy, leaving plenty of space between character and target, and here is what happens: feat is cast (character performs casting animation), attack, skill and movement speed buff icons pop up (attack increase and movement increase both appear to function as intended, but I also get a boost of 48 to my tumble skill! Woah! Is this normal?); ac decrease icon pops up (ac appears to be reduced as intended); and then a funny thing happens when instead of charging like I think he should the message pops up "cannot perform that action on a friendly target due to PvP settings" and a little dark orange number zero appears above my half-orcs head.  He appears to actually be targeting himself instead of the enemy, whom I am actually targeting!  In light of these circumstances here is my question: is this normal, and if not, what is causing this?

Here are some statistics (I've included everything I could think of that may be pertinent):

Game: NWN1 with SoU, HotU (diamond) updated to 1.69

Module: The Lord Of Terror Campaign 1.06 (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Modules.Detail&id=3713)

PRC: Version 3.3g (I think!http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Hakpaks.Detail&id=4560)

NWN/Override File Folder Contents:

Alternate Combat Animations Mod V2.0 (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Models.Detail&id=13, .mdl files)

KuraiRyu's "Hands" model override files (http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Models.Detail&id=124, .mdl files)

PRC In-Game GUI Addons v0.1 (though it probably has nothing to do with this problem, I like to be thorough ;) )

I will continue to try and figure it out myself, but any feedback on this would be most appreciated!

Thanks again PRC! You made NWN fun again!

Update: I just now removed all the override files and the feat behaves the same.  I am nonplussed!

Update: Tried it with one other module with same character level 1 (HotU Campaign, to be exact, since you start out at level 15, easy to test!) and the feat behaves the same.  Strange!
