Help / Re: Unable to complete Prologue Missions with Duskblade
« on: February 13, 2013, 06:34:40 PM »
Ah, that's probably it.  But allow me to ask a question, if I may...

It's prompting me to overwrite the files?

UPDATE: Overwriting the files with the ocfix seemed to have resolved the issue; I was able to complete the Prologue successfully with my Duskblade character.

Thanks!

Which OS?  Also, which version of NWN?  If you're running Windows 7 or 8, and using the GOG version of NWN, you may have to enable compatibility mode to get it to run properly.  I've had to do that a time or two.

Help / Unable to complete Prologue Missions with Duskblade

GOG.com version of Neverwinter Nights Diamond Edition (version 1.69); CEP 2.4; PRC 3.5.  Windows 8 64-bit edition.

I've managed to get PRC to work brilliantly so far, but I've noticed that after creating a Silvanesti Duskblade, it won't let me complete the Prelude missions in the Academy.  In fact, after I finish off the combat training portion and speaking to the trainers there, I'm told that I need to complete the duskblade challenge.  I tried visiting the spellcasting trainers, but they all tell me that since I'm a duskblade they can only give me the basics on spellcasting.  The guard at the door to the Graduation Chamber tells me that he won't let me through until after I complete the combat training (which I already have).

I've tried both saving and resuming said save game; even tried playing all the way through the Prologue without saving but still get the same result.  I can get through with a "standard" character class (Drow cleric), but not with a "hybrid" class like the Duskblade.

Any ideas?

It means i downloaded the game and didn't use biowares installer, which the auto setup says it wants in order to install.

Mind if I ask where you downloaded the game from?
