Admittedly this is the first time I've tried installing any type of mod for Neverwinter nights.

I ran the self-exacting exe. (Setup3.5b2a) Installed what I want(Single player stuff for now, at least I think it was. ;X) Used the character generator to make a Drow Dread necromancer.

That's when things went wrong. The dread necromancer didn't have a single spell in his book on loading in. Another time after fiddling with the install and what hak packs are loaded in the character creator I was able to select all of his spells, but again, they didn't appear in the spellbook.

Thinking it was a fluke I tried again with the Duskblade. I was able to choose his spells on loading the actual game, but again, they didn't show up in his spell book.

I still have a fresh install of NWN, so I'm hoping someone would be so kind as to provide step by step instructions as I've tried four different times and met with the same end result. :(

As I was really hoping to try it out and maybe, if it worked well set up a small game for me and a few friends.

So far as computer specs go. I'm running Windows 7 64bit. The game itself was downloaded from gog.com.

So. Help? Please?

Edit: I've also encountered a neverending loop after I select duskblade spells.

To clarify I want to use PRC on the single player campaigns for now. I've tried the install instructions but I keep hitting the same road blocks. >_< I'm doing something wrong, I just have no idea what.

Spells for PRC casting classes are located in class radial-menu (the place where all class abilities like summon familiar, turn undead etc. are).

It is impossible to add new classes with 'standard' spellbooks - game limitation.

Ah okay. I did access a few through the menus, however.... I was getting another error when I tried to use summon undead I.

I believe it was saying I had no level one spell slots available. ~_~; Mind you this was a newly created character and should have had at least one.

Warren, just to make certain I'm not doing anything...wrong.

Fresh install, Patch... Run PRC exe. Extract files. Install modules(All of them.) Run Module updater tool. Install, prc_ocfix by overwriting.

Load all the Hak files it creates in the character generator. Load both the its tlk file -and- the default tlk file. Create character. Play.

Sound about right?

Wasn't someone working on a work-around for this?

Yes, that's right. But before you cast spells, you have to rest ;)

Yes, ElgarL was working on that, but he moved on, and now is modding another game.
