Hi,

I've started using the PRC recently, and I love it - however, I seem to have spotted a flaw in the Swordsage disciplines.

Basically, the class gives you Simple and Martial weapon proficiencies, and then you choose the Discipline you want which gives you weapon focus in various weapons. However, if you choose Diamond Mind, you DON'T get weapon proficiencies in the weapons listed - which are Exotic weapons!

So you gain +1 due to Weapon Focus, but then lose -4 due to not being Proficient. This may be true with other Disciplines - I haven't tried them all yet.

You might want to amend  the Swordsage Disciplines so they give Weapon Proficiencies as well as Focuses (Foci?)

Till then I'll be choosing different Disciplines for my Swordsages.   :)

Cheers! Love the product, by the way!

Well, actually, that's functioning in Rules as Written. If you want to get the full benefit from the weapon(s) in question, you'll have to get the proficiency. It's just how the class feature works.
