Whip Proficiency Not Working

Pretty much self-explanatory.  I make a new character (any class), take the whip proficiency, and in all of the core modules, and at least some custom modules, I am unable to equip whips.  The error "You lack proficiency in the weapon" or whatever it is comes up in the dialog box.  

There was one module I was able to equip whips in...Penultima, but the second I move the character to anything else, the whips unequip.

Any ideas?

Oh, and this is happening on both of the computers I have running the program, so I don't think it is just the install.

Running NWN, SoU, HoTu, CEP 2.2, PRC 3.3g, patch 1.69

Presume you mean "NOT working"

You say you took the "whip proficiency" - you mean you took exotic weapon proficiency or something like "Weapon Focus - Whip"?

I think he meant one of the PnP weapon proficiencies.

Please check if it works in PRC without CEP merge. IIRC there are some more 'exotic' whips in CEP (chain-whips etc.), do you use one of those?

LOL, my apologies for the subject line...I had just finished proofreading a 253 page journal my law review is sending out for publication, and my eyes were a little bit bleary.


Yes, I took weapon proficiency - whip.  

I'll create a module and test it with just the prc now.

Prc Module worked...so there's something wrong on the CEP end...or a CEP/PRC conflict.
