Help!

I'm new to NWN and am enjoying myself immensely.  In fact, I'm finding the user-generated content far surpasses the original campaign in terms of general awesomeness.  The PRC in particular is fantastic.

So I grabbed the last patch for NWN, the latest greatest PRC I could find (3.3h RC2) and the latest versions of CEP1 and CEP2.  I also grabbed the merge hack from http://nwvault.ign.com/View.php?view=Hakpaks.Detail&id=7870.

I've managed to merge both into some existing modules, such as Swordflight.  However, out of all of the modules I've downloaded that already require CEP, I haven't managed to merge PRC into a single one.  Every time I get stopped with this:

I have no problem merging NWN and CEP into modules that don't already use CEP, but if the module already has either CEP1 or CEP2, no dice.  This seems like a problem that others have surmounted.  Any tips?

Thanks in advance, and nice work folks!

This happens because tlk file for CEP 2 is not 100% compatible with PRC. What you need to do is:
[ulist=disc]run nwtoolset and open your module in it
go to edit -> module properties -> custom content tab
clear custom tlk file field
when your're done click OK and cancel build process
save the module
run PRC module updater again[/ulist]

Hope this will help you :)

Following the above steps, I invariably end up with a bunch of conflicts:

I'll try going ahead with them and see what happens.  If the game is broken I may have to figure out how to resolve the conflicts manually.  Any advice is appreciated.

Thanks again!

:)

Check out the 'Overwriter' and 'Source' column from the screen shot you posted - in most cases files from one CEP hak are being overwriten by files from other CEP hak, since this works in normal CEP installation, it shouldn't cause any problems ;)

Also overwriting tga or dds files shouldn't break your module.

Yeah, I went ahead and most CEP mods are doing fine--or at least, if anything is amiss I can't tell the difference.

Now the only ones I'm having trouble with are Endless Nights IV and VI; they specifically warn not to use the PRC updater, but without it most of the PRC content doesn't show up, since they were built with much older versions of PRC.

Judging from the forum posts it looks like some of you have gotten them to work, so there's still hope!  Do you think I'll need to modify the mod's hak files by hand or something?  Would this be typical for mods made with prior versions of PRC?
