Quick question. My son has a new windows 7 computer. It wont run NWN. Do you know of some setting modifications I could make to get it working? I play on an older syste that still runs the game.
P.S. I love the scrolling banner about the new release! Never noticed that before.

Playing on the older system, I see that when first starting a new game there is an error in the dialog section that reads:
Script prc_onenter, OID: 80000000, Tag:, ERROR: TOO MANY INSTRUCTIONS
I performed a complete reload of the game (uninstalled and reinstalled). The above error still occurs.
Here are more observations for my Aasimar Shaman going through the OC prelude:
1) Can't see descriptons for spells when picking them to fill spell slots.
2) Animal Companion counts as a henchman if I have him summoned before getting a henchman (ex: If I have the companion summoned when I speak to Benel, he will not join and I see "Already have one hencjman" message. If I wait and get Bevel first, there is no issue summoning animal companion).
3) The see invisible feat puts an icon next to my character when first going up my second level. After resting, the icon never comes back even when changing areas.
4) Can't choose my animal companion. Get jaguar automatically (level up doesn't allow choosing new companion).
5) Can't unsummon animal companion.

Yes, that's how it worked for prepared casters and IMHO it's OK - you can always change your spells and rest again.

All PRC aniaml companions/familiars are added as henchmen - that's because "real" animal companions/familiars are hard-coded. Unsummon your companion and than try to hire henchman.

That's something I've added recently - you can check on the character sheet that the effect is still there ;)

Last time I checked unsummoning worked OK - have you tried remove your companion from party (right click on your companion and search for 'remove form party' option).
Edit: I've added a quick fix for Greatreach Blast ability (didn't worked with new spellbooks)

I have a clean install, so no switches or personal_switch.2da in use.

It's been a while since I've messed with bonus domains, but as I recall...
There should be 4 bonus domain abilities under your class abilities - two for each bonus domain you have. One for each domain has Domain Power and Domain Spell levels 1-4 subradials, and the other has Domain Spell levels 5-9.
If I remember correctly, the domain abilities themselves all look generic, don't tell you which specific domain they're for, what the power does, which domain spell levels actually have any spells, and what they are. I think the chat log tells you which is which after you rest, and the feat/ability screen has the domains with all the relevant info on them?
I can't check myself at the moment. I'll try to give better feedback later, if you haven't gotten it from someone else by then.

Exactly the same as Turn Undead - just use Fire Domain Power and Sun Domain Power icons ;p

My Shaman animal companion is no longer part of my party if I have a henchman and reload from a save.
EX: I get Tommy and then summon my companion (have three total characters in my party). I save and reload and my animal companion is no longer in my party. What is worse is that the companion is still around and follows me even though he wont join battles and is not in my party.

Sounds like some Bioware scripts are going to need to be modified to take the henchman animal companions into consideration.

Another thing.
The Mystic acts like a spontanious caster. Is there a "Spells Known" table so I can see what a Mystic can know over time?
Also, when the Shaman animal companion dies, it goes to the same teleport circle that regular henchman go to when they die. EX: Near Aribeth in chapter 1.

I think that it was never fixed (at least not for domain powers).

Using 'Animal Companion' feat should fix both issues but I'll add a small check to companions HB to unsummon it in situations like this.

Mystics cast spells from Clerics spell list. You can see them all in PRC manual.

New concern.
I created an Avarial Truenamer. At creation I have 16 INT, 4 points into truespeak, and skill focus (truespeak). I look at my skills page and it says truespeak 7. I was expecting 10 (3 from INT + 4 points + 3 from skill focus). Any idea why my count is off?

Not sure about this, but i think, the way truespeech is calculated, is instead of adding DC to your skill check, it is subtracted ( -3 in this case) from the opposite DC to succeed the spell.
Need confirmation tho. IMO, about the class tho, unless it's just for low lvls play only, you will need to mess with the switch.

Confirmed ;) The bonus is not displayed in character sheet, but it's subtracted from utterance DC.
Does anyone else experience TMI errors?
NECRO, could you send me your character file, please? Does TMI error also happen in OC?
About Shaman's animal companion - I had no problem with adding Tomi to my party (animal companion was removed though, but summoning it again fixed this problem).

TMI happened in the OC prelude only for Shaman. My Truenamer and Warlack did not get the same issue. It repeatably happens with my Shaman.

OK, I tested animal companion issue in Chapter 1 and there was no TMI. I'll check Prelude. Thanks :)

To clarify on the TMI issue. It only happens when I start a new game in the prelude. When my Shaman first appears in the room you first spawn into the game in and all the messages show that things have loaded. One of the messages is TMI.
NOTE: For other PRC classes, this is the point when first starting a new game where the spells window pops up and asks to fill in spell slots. I just do it manually, so it is not a big issue. I have assumed the TMI message is an error with the initial spell pick script.

PRC 3.5 looks awesome. One question though. I've installed PRC 3.5 beta 2 into a brand new module, just to test - no areas built yet, no scripts added. In character creation, I cannot get any PRC added base classes. The prestige classes seem to appear just fine. Feats, spells and other materials look fine too. I've tried all that I can think of. Please help!

At first level you can't select other classes than bioware ones - it's a known issue. You'll need a special Character Creator program to use PRC classes from lvl 1.
Check out PRC Download section in menu above and download PRC JavaCC 1.8.

Sorry, can't help you here. As far as I can remember PRC was incompatible with CEP horses. I was told that it's a phenotype issue, but I don't know exactly what's the problem.
You can still use 1.69 horses (IMHO those look better than CEPs).

I am playing a Psychic Warrior and at 6th level I take War Mind. My psychic powers add, but I am asked to pick a 1st level power instead of the 2nd level my psychic warrior can pick. Shouldn't the War Mind prestige class work like a spell casting prestige class and work on top of the base class? I would think that the War Mind should have allowed me to pick a 2nd level power instead of first level.
Do the caster levels stack at least (I can't tell)?

Warmind and Fist of Zuoken have their own power lists and manifester levels - it's like assassin or black guard, they also have their own spell lists and don't increase caster level from other classes.
This means that manifester level doesn't stack, and it works as intended.
PrCs that do increase manifester level:

- Psychic Theurge
- Thrallherd
- Shadowmind
- Ironmind
- Diamond Dragon
- Sanctified Mind

How about the AC on the Shaman animal companion? HP increase, but AC doesn't. THe companion has its HP chewed through with an AC of 13 that doesn't improve.
Also, my psion mind thrust wont work on the statue to get me out of the prelude. The other two powers only cast on myself and also don't work on the statue. What powers do work on the statue to get out of the prelude?

You can still use 1.69 horses (IMHO those look better than CEPs).
Unless you are riding a Spider, Tiger, War Boar, Wolf etc then there really is no comparison to the old 1.69 mounts.

Also, my psion mind thrust wont work on the statue to get me out of the prelude. The other two powers only cast on myself and also don't work on the statue. What powers do work on the statue to get out of the prelude?
If you updated Prelude with new prc_ocfix you should get Ray Of Frost scroll that you can use on the statue.

How about the Shaman animal companion? Is its AC not suppose to improve over time? The Druid animal companions improve AC over levels.

No they don't, some of them improve their DEX score, but not AC directly.

Sorry, one other question... Is PRC 3.5 beta 2 still incompatible with CEP 2.4 mounts? If so, could you point me in the direction of resolving this conflict?

The new CEP 2.4 mounts (griffon, rhino, elephant, etc.) use the same system as the 1.69 horses from Bioware, and will work. The old CEP mounts won't work, but they looked terrible anyway. :P

You will have to use some modified scripts because the PRC removes all feats on a pc skin when you load it up, and the 1.69 horse system uses feats on a skin. Fortunately, xwarren helped me figure out how to integrate them here: http://prc.athasreborn.com/index.php?topic=1362.0 :D

Horse Menu is only removed from pre-1.69 characters. New characters get it from lvl 1 and you don't have to change anything.

The True Necromancers Aura of Desicration (red aura that improves undead), seems to provide HP boosts to undead every time they enter the aura. This ability allows HP to go WAY over the max. I had a mummy with 400HP due to it being slower then me and constantly re-entering the aura and getting an HP boost. This allows me to have powerful undead, but I am sure this is not WAD.
Also, I am finding the my True Necromancer (for my Shaman, Dread Necro, True Necro) and my Contemplative (for my Archivist, Contemplative) can't choose spell focus feats except cold. The base classes get the full list, but not the prestige classes (only cold for prestige classes).

That was true in 3.4 as well. Playing a Dread Necro (turns lich at lvl 20)/Cleric/True Necro, I would get the boost, since I was undead. Every time I moved to a different area, I would get the boost again, getting higher and higher hit points. Resting resets the whole thing, at least for a player character.

I see a feat that says all animal summoning spells can be cast by converting other memorized spells, I just can't figure out how to do it? I don't see animal summoning spells to memorize, just monster summoning spells.

Activate the feat and cast any spell you memorized - it will be automatically converted to summon monster spell of the same level.

I noticed a few bugs.
The swordsage maneuver Flashing Sun is bugged -- you can only use it to hit yourself. This is easily fixed by changing the range and allowed targets in spells.2da and turning off target self only in feat.2da.
Recovering maneuvers as a swordsage seems wonky. When I to recover one in combat, I go through the dialog, but sometimes I can recover it and sometimes I can't. Also, as someone else mentioned, the sixty second wait to recover maneuvers is a little excessive, especially since they can be recovered in six seconds while in combat if you have adaptive style. What's more, choosing an option and then waiting sixty seconds is almost the same as resting in most situations. But maneuver recovery is specifically meant to not be like resting. Can't you make it so they recover automatically if you are out combat for ten seconds or so?
Finally, I'm curious how maneuvers work in relationship with critical hits or sneak attack. If your scythe wielding warblade/weapon master crit with Diamond Nightmare Blade, would he do 20x damage?
Thanks for all your hard work with this. I'm really happy that there are still updates for NWN1. The Tome of Battle stuff for NWN2 is beautiful what with all the custom GUIs, but he didn't implement any of the prestige classes and I think NWN1 is much better anyway in terms of its engine and the huge library of custom content.

The feat that substitutes wisdom for strength on attack roles (Intuitive Attack?) is weird. Sometimes it doesn't work, sometimes it adds double the bonus and it always works for all weapons, not just simple weapons. I think it will sometimes figure out I'm not using a simple weapon and remove the bonus, but often as not I can wield anything I please.
All martial strikes seem to be bugged in that the enemy will frequently have damage reduction against them and they will do no damage. This is particularly strange against Mountain Hammer, which is supposed to ignore damage reduction. I noticed Sapphire Nightmare Blade was implemented as adding its bonus damage as magic damage whereas Mountain Hammer deals physical. I think this is strange since nothing in Sapphire Nightmare Blade's description says it ignores dammage reduction whereas Mountain Hammer's description mentions it clearly.
After using a martial strike I sometimes get the graphical glitch that my weapon disappears for a short time or until I use another strike. I still roll hit and damage as if I'm wielding the weapon, so this is purely cosmetic.
Hatchling's Flame's hit detection is weird. Basically, it never hits. Occasionally, if I target a monster I'm directly facing it will hit that monster, but I've never seen it hit more than one and often as not it just does nothing.

My Dread Necromancer/Warlock/Eldritch Thuerge casts summon undead 1 and gets a skeleton. I then do the warlock summon swarm - bat and the bats attack my skeleton and the skeleton takes wounding damage. The description says the swarm should only attach enemies. Also, why would undead take wounding damage anyway?
