Title: [Duskblade]
Post by: deteego on September 02, 2009, 12:26:52 PM
Hey I have an issue with how you are exactly meant to store spells as a dusk blade, I know this may sound retarded but I have tried everything.

From what I gathered, you use the Holding the Charge: Toggle to activate the "charging mode" at which point you charge a spell into your sword, dispelling it with Holding the Charge: Touch attack. The problem is, no matter what I do, the spell just casts normally (I am trying it with burning hands for example). Do I have to cast the spell on a specific target or is there something else you have to do

Also how exactly does quick cast and arcane channeling fit into all of this

Personally, i can't get Quick Cast to do ANYTHING and Arcane Channeling is just a longer way of storing the charge - and it can only be done in combat.

the method for channeling is to activate it, then cast the spell at a hostile target, then it will store and you can deliver it with a sword blow. thing is, that hostile target will get an attack of opportunity when you cast the spell, so you may as well just cast it on him, as far as i can see.

It only applies to touch spells.
