Title: Help please! :(
Post by: Deerber on November 22, 2010, 10:12:09 AM
Hi guys,

I'm pretty new to this PRC thing, but I really like the idea of being able to play more classes, races and such on NWN. So first of all, thank you for the effort of all this.
Now, I've got a problem with the prc pack, though. I'm playing a game with both expansions installed and patched to the latest release. I downloaded the PRC pack version 3.4 beta and installed it, with the .exe. Then I let the utility configure the modules, of whatever, altough I got some warnings. It said it had to overwrite some settings and that could have caused problems. Indeed, when I try to play as a mystic theurge in Hordes of the Underdark, I -have- problems. Simply, most of the spells are not working. Not all of them actually, but something like 90%. It always says something about scripts, strange letters and then it says "stack troppo vuoto", which would be translated in english (I'm italian) as "too empty stack", or something like that. Is anyone able to help me please? I would really love to play as a mystic theurge!
Thank you! ^^

Try cleaning your override directory (make a buck-up copy first). HotU + clean PRC install should not cause problems like this. Perhaps there are some scripts in the override that may cause conflicts.

[ulist=disc]Did you let it overwrite the files it wanted to?
Did you install the OC_FIX and let it overwrite anything it wanted to?[/ulist]

The PRC has to overwrite certain files to work properly. I would recommended restoring the backup .nwn modules in the nwn folder(in your NWN installation directory.) To do that you rename delete the .nwn files in the folder and rename the .prc.BackupMod files to .nwn. After you do that run the PRC module updater again on the campaign files. First add the PRC to it and click yes when it asks to overwrite files. Now you repeat the same steps with the prc_ocfix making sure to let it overwrite anything it wants.

This may fix your issue with the PRC.
