Base Classes / Paladin

Is there any way the paladin class could be updated to D&D 3.5 spec in the next release?

1 smite evil every 5 levels and 1 cure disease every 3 levels starting at 6.   The Anti-Paladin has these things already, the Paladin should have them too.
