bwhahaha! perfect, playing a thrall of orcus right now:

anti-paladin 4 / thrall of orcus 10 / ocular adept 26

basic gist: anti-paladin's fear aura when used with palor of death is brutal it's a decent save creatures take at a -4, use your carrion stench to make the save even more difficult to make. . . Then take advantage of the fear to spam touch of death with impunity, with both fear and carrion stench the save is really difficult to make, especially multiple times. You can walk around to make creatures re attempt saves until they fail for carrion stench and fear.

Charisma. . . all charisma, touch of death is based on it, all your eye rays are based on it, your saves are boosted by it and of course you'll want divine might so it'll boost your damage.

Saves vs. spell with this build is just flat out wrong, spellcraft boosts the saves as well as charisma. He should only ever have to worry about rolling 1s versus most enemy casters.

I have only worked out up to 20, I'll add on 21-40 after I think about the feat progression some, the ocular adept bonus feat list is pretty slim so they shouldn't be tough, but I'm still tossing around thoughts on the general ones.

This build gets better in 2.3 since the ocular adept has a healthy spell book to have fun with in addition to all the eye beams.

I've created this build with 2.3a alpha14 but it can also be used for 2.2c, though slighly altered. Simple choose for the five Corpsecrafter feats something else you seem to fit for this build, like meta-magic or other useful feats).

Like the other build of mine is this build created with 2.3a Alpha14 and can also be used for 2.2c. The only feat which isn?t in 2.2c is Rapid Metabolism, so choose a different feat to your likings.
Well, there are some bugs with the Oozemaster in 2.3a alpha14, but the build itself should look like this after they?re fixed.

The Thrall of Orcus is a worshipper of undeath. Cursed by their mortal bondage, the Transcendent Reaver seeks to pursue perfection through worshipping Orcus. This is a good number since Divine Favor reaches +5 and spells with 1round/level have a fair duration. Most of the cleric's more useful spells are from 1-6~7.
Since the Reaver is a cleric, he has access to the extremely powerful (mass)ultravision/darkness(or blacklight) combo. This should be used as much as possible since it gives the Reaver amazing defensive ability in the darkness.

NB: To prevent sneak attacks in the darkness, shift into a form that is immune to critical hits.

The Reaver is a PnP Shifter. Nuff Said.

The Reaver can summon a Nightwing once per day. This is a very powerful summon since it is undead (lots of immunities) and is extremely sturdy which makes it a useful meat shield 332HP, 36AC.
Later on, the Reaver can shift into a Nightwing becoming extremely powerful.

It is difficult to work feats in early since there are several (5) pre-requisite feats. It isn't until level 24 there is sufficient room for miscellaneous feats - improved critical and such.

The Reaver has base AC of 15. This can be overcome by shifting into a form with a high natural AC and utilizing darkness/ultravision. As a Nightwing, the Reaver has base AC of 40.

Unfortunately the Reaver has relatively low saves and will be prone to failing a lot of them. However, as a nightwing, the Reaver's amazing HP and long list of immunities will be able to effectively absorb most spells.

If the world doesn't have items with haste (either the spell or permanent), I suggest dropping the Darkness domain to pick up Travel and switching one of the Epic Toughness feats for extend spell. Haste way too amazing to pass up.

Conclusion

The Transcendent Reaver taking on the form of a Nightwing is an almost unstoppable opponent. It is almost certain death to step into the darkness the Reaver has created for there are but two Nightwings lying in wait.

This build wants to beef up on charisma (death touch) and wisdom for maximum effectiveness. Items and spells that do this are essential. The summons help as well. Combining summons with thrall abilities with oozy abilities makes this a decent killer. The oozy touches selected were to "fit the theme" so you can mix and match these as you like. The ones selected to cold damage, constitution damage, and have a chance to stun or paralyze. The pallor of death gives a fear aura for a period of time per day and the carion stench reduces bonuses on enemies that get too close. The final hit points were close to 400 without re-rolls on my test build. This has the potential to be a really fun build for those "anti social" types.
