Hi,

First off, it's real nice to see you guys keeping this up and ty a lot in advance, if you can give me some help with my problems.

Several days ago I started my attempts to get nwn (gog) running with prc. I installed nwn and the official modules just fine and checked that the game worked ok. I then tried the prc 3.5 exe, but it notified me that I didn't have SOU installed. I then downloaded the rar-package and installed it following http://www.athasreborn.com/prc/manual/

The module updater also said I didn't have SOU installed, but allowed me to update the modules anyway. Since then, I have re-installed the game 3 times in pursuit of a working game, but I cannot get the prc installed. Prc character creator keeps notifying me of missing 2DA's and the game itself does not recognize prc classes as I level them up.

Yesterday I attempted to add the windows registry lines manually as per http://prc.athasreborn.com/index.php?topic=1713.0 (I changed the paths), but that didn't help either.

It seems the problem was solved by installing a non-gog diamond version.

I've never seen a gog version, but I do know it gets harder and harder to find a diamond version. Is the gog version legitimate (ie not pirated). If it is legit, can the PRC be made to work with it?

The day will come when each of the few of us still mesmerized by the power of NWN with the PRC will have to switch computers and need to be able to reinstall.

Well, since Gog disclaims many things, including "NON-INFRINGEMENT OF PROPRIETARY RIGHTS," I assume it does not have Bioware's authorization to sell NWN, so never mind.

I got the PRC to work with the GoG version, and never had any issues.

Kind of a late reply, but in case anyone had the same issue, you need to install an additional patch (critical rebuild 1.69) over the GOG diamond version of the game, since it seems to be missing some files, here's the link:
