Cons: MAD, d4’s, low unbuffed AB, medicocre buffed AC, medium-low damage per strike, psi-focus (bogus!) mechanic (f-off, WotC!), off-hand Str nerf (WotC geniuses!), fast Psi pp burn down @ max augment, manual psi-focus (bogus!) required for some meta-psi’s to work (twin Ecto-Shambler), quickslot shortage.

Notes:
1) Twinned Ecto-Shambler (32 hp / round when twinned, 66 minutes when extended- no SR, no save, no attack rolls, magical damage) on non-DR classes / opp’s is a great fire and forget power. You have to manually Psi-focus (bogus!)  (Ahem, f-off, WotC geniuses!) to twin the Shambler.
2) Creeping Doom – no SR, no save, no attack rolls, magical damage, 1000 hp cap. Taken at 7th and Extended at 8th.
3) Shadow Body psi-power – (immune to crits, sneaks, ability dam, etc., 50% conceal, half elemental damage) great to fire Shamblers and Creeping Dooms from far away, then phase back out the next round.
4) Energy Current (Kineticist only) – max augment then make sure no one “punks” you into attacking (breaks power). Max + Empowered does ~ 135 – 270 hp / round cold damage (Cold Fort half, all others [fire, sonic, et. al.] Flex half) concentrating – no pp drain. Do not use on high SR races unless Lower Spell Resistance is used first.
5) Energy Missile (Kineticist only) DC save is NOT a misprint, DC = 10 + 2 (base power level) + 1 / pp + ability mod. Max augment save ~ 50+ DC (Cold Fort half, all others [fire, sonic, et. al.] Flex half) for five twinned + max missiles. Cannot target same opp twice (arg!). Do not use on high SR races unless Lower Spell Resistance is used first.
6) If you want a much higher AC: choose Egoist (Thicken Skin = +11 Nat AC), trade out 2 feats for Expertise (+5) and Imp Expertise (+10).
7) Choose the Retribution domain if you want a “hit me” caster – add Elemental Shield d6+39 damage / strike to go with Empathic Feedback (1-33 / strike) and Energy Retort.

If you don’t like a power choice (i.e. Mental Barrier = WotC trash!), use Psychic Reformation.
9) Psi-Meditation (aka Psi Medi-Wasting) was intentionally not taken (BS 3.5 mechanic).
10) Race was chosen over Illithid due to better natural AC, Con and Str bonuses.
