General Discussion / Re: 3.5 Release...

Yay! I was depressed for a while with the demise of nwn2prc and the fact that nwnx started crashing after installing 3.4b1... found this site through duckduckgo!

Character Builds / X-men in D&D
« on: January 14, 2011, 02:23:36 PM »
Wolverine = Human Half-Troll, Half Golem.  As for class... whatever combo that basically makes him a Monk (with a feat rendering his Adamantium claws as monk weapons) with rage.

Jean Grey and Professor X are definitely Psions. Professor X would be epic level or close.

Cyclops would have to be a special case... a one-trick pony class attainable only through a feat available at character creation.

Havok may be a Sorc/PRC... the PRC will have certain requirements (only energy-type spells).

Psylocke is a Psi-Warrior/PRC... isn't there one that already has Psi-Blade?

Storm... must be a druid-ish or cleric-ish custom class (one not found in the books yet, perhaps) accessible through a feat/template chosen at character creation.

General Discussion / Question about Races templates.
« on: September 12, 2010, 10:58:45 AM »
Note that you'll need NWNX to make the template-provided bonuses permanent and non-magical. The steps are noted in the "PRC 3.3H!!!" thread [http://www.nwnprc.com/forum/viewthread.php?thread_id=593&rowstart=0]

Spells, Feats, and Skills / Wings & Jump

That would be a great improvement. That way, jump would indeed make an adequate workaround for flying characters. Perhaps Dive can be modified as well so that its a "jump" on a target (with the dive attack)?

1. run nwnx -> nwserver will lunch soon after that
2. select one of your modules with PRC installed and click 'Load' (or sth, i have non-english game version ;p )
3. when it finishes loading run NWN as usual but instead of 'New game' select 'Multiplayer game'
4. confirm your login and password
5. select join game in local network - you should see your module on the list
6. join the game and select your character (you can experiment with character in server and local vault)
7. when you see your character in game rest - all permanent bonuses will be applied
8. your character should be automatically saved when you exit the module, you can than use it in SP mode

I've tested this and it works for me.
And it's easier than Leto!!! :D

IT WORKS!!!

It's not really possible without NWNX, so you won't get those benefits in SP mode. As a workaround you could load any module with PRC installed (or even your saved game) into NWNX/NWServer and than join it with your character. The bonuses/penalties will be permanently applied after you rest.

Sorry, can't think of any easier way to do that.

Not familiar with multiplayer games but, can I save my character and play it on SP?

Thanks,

bxb

Question... how do single players avail of this new "permanent stats" feature?

Tnx,
