Lol ok, going to overrun the campaign with the naked dwarven army D  Could anyone please explain how do i turn every pnp feature on, like summoning endless skeletons with you (im not sure exactly how should it work, but you get the point)?

There are switches that control that. There is an include file that has all the details (can't remember the exact file name now) I remember where one could find info about that in the old forum but still learning all the posts on this new one) but I know for sure it is a multisummon var switch that turns it on you can also access it from the conv in game but will only be active for that game.

I am glad you got it working!

Help / CAnt run the PRC ;(

Also you do realize that PRC is not as mod but a hak (like CEP) so due to this it has many updates over time and can make mod found in the vault using PRC not work correctly(if outdated)  with the newest version of PRC. The best advice I had about this was to keep the original mod (with out haks) and make update and a new mod with the newest version of PRC each time.

Also Prc has a massive amount of content available and there is no way one can really "wing" it with out reading the manual (read little at a time as it can be overwhelming if you are new to PRC specially for the installation part.)

If you are new to NWN or the custom content side of it then hang in there and take small steps (do not try to understand it all at once it is to much). As Strat stated you need the character Creator/builder (separate down load) to make your character.

In all it will take a bit of "getting to know" all that prc has to offer before you can enjoy all that it has to offer, but trust me when I tell you it is well worth it. (just a bit frustrating... well frustrating if you know little about scripting like me hehe)

Best of luck, be safe!

General Discussion / PRC Compatible Modules
« on: June 10, 2009, 01:51:53 AM »
Well I have not played Endless nights for some time. But I do remember some posts in the Vault of community members updating that module to Endless nights VII or VI not sure but if they updated it to the new PRC and adjusted the switches to reflect that I do not know for sure. As far as CEP I think you just need to make sure you have the version that module is using in your Hak file and make sure you have the correct Tlk (merge CEP and Prc file) and it should work.

I wish I could be better help but I am not very cleaver when it comes to explaining the technical parts of the modules ( I just have come to learn how to do it by driving the PRC team crazy *grins*)

Perhaps someone that is actively playing with that module can guide you in the right direction so you can get the latest PRC version working with that module.

Do not get discouraged as it can be discouraging at times but once you get it sorted out it will be well worth it. The best NWN 1 has to offer IMO PRC just has so much more to offer...

Later...

Well you can play just about any mod that has no Haks or Tlk files (Cep is ok). the only bad thing is that they are often made with out taking PRC into account and thus making it not so fun to play (except for hack and slash ones).

Prc had put out some modules they recommended it is on the vault but it is for an older version of Prc I think it is for 3.0.

It has long been my dream to see a mod made from scratch using PRC that would be an epic task for sure let alone the mod of the century IMO.

The one everyone seems to play is Endless nights but it is Hack and slash no RP sad to say.

Hope it helps. Maybe some day the game developers will take a closer look at all the super work done with by PRC and they will make a NWN3  mod/ campaign that supports all the PRC content but does not require the use of a really new gamer type computer with all the powerful graphic cards etc. Maybe they can make it optional like NWN1 where you could choose form 16 bit or higher.

Be safe!

Other Games / My Games
« on: June 08, 2009, 10:55:40 PM »
I like to play AoW (age of wonder * the brave new world version 3.2*) and star wars (the Lucas arts version). I have played others but let go of them after a few weeks of play such as age of mythology and civilization series. I just love NWN and it is hard for me to let it go for very long specially with all the PRC content and the constant community contributions. I play AoW alot as well with friends because it is one of the few games I like that can be played in just about any computer as it is not very recourse intensive  and well many of my friends that live in less fortunate places in the world and do not have the super computers most of the games require to play. Since xbox and all them game consoles got so advanced so have the games developed for pc games and along the way they forgot that they have fans all over the world not just developed nations and I have found there are many good games with great fan base such as NWN 1 and Civilization series that service the needs of these often forgotten consumers.

I keep praying that DA will be something I will be able to play with my middle of the line computer or else it will just join the pile of games I have (including NWN2) that I have never been able to play because I need a better computer to do so. Perhaps those of you directly in contact with game developers can find a way to make your games in a way that they can be played with high graphic needs or the old 32 or 16 bit if need be for some users not able to play at the state of the art graphics and speed. (not because we do not want to but because it is just to expensive to do so for some of us.)

But the best in my eyes still is NWN1 even though it is considered old school.

General Discussion / Hi everyone!

Hi PRC Team and members,

So glad to see you are back. I had thought Prc was gone forever but I am glad to see it is not. I am sad to hear that all the data got lost over a late payment... Such is life well in true spirit of the best NWN content (PRC) I am sure this new site will be even better.

I want so bad to help you guys with the recovery of the files but I am so inexperience that I think I am one those people best left standing on the side lines instead of causing problems  and more work for everyone due to my ignorance when doing things with the computer.

Is another note, is the Prc team still following the old plan to focus on Dragon age or is there still a few people hiding in the basement working on NWN PRC? *just wondering* either way I will always be a fan of the PRC team as I am still to this date playing with the PRC content.

I hope that the  plans and projects planned go well for everyone involved specially those directly responsible for keeping the PRC content available to the NWN community to enjoy.

*Shifting into a Triton....* Be safe!
