Epic characters with spellcasting capabilities are often capable of casting epic spells. You must have over 24 ranks in Spellcraft and Lore and be able to cast 9th-level arcane or divine spells. To use the Epic Spellcasting system, open the radial menu (right-click), go to the class icon (any base class), and select the 'PRC options icon'.
A dialog will appear with several options. Choose the "Manage Epic Spells" option. Here, you can "memorize" epic spells, which places spells you know onto the radial or removes them. Due to a BioWare bug, you can only have 6 epic spells ready to cast at any time. Radial changes are instant and don't require rest. Use "Research an Epic Spell" to learn new spells.
Each epic spell requires several prerequisites to learn:
To view spell requirements, use the spellbook’s unique power ability. This shows the spell’s effects and any XP or backlash damage requirements.
Once you've learned an epic spell, add it to your radial menu via "PRC Options". I recommend adding it to your hotbar for easy access. The daily limit for casting epic spells depends on your Lore skill, calculated as Lore/10, including skill focus feats. Some epic spells may cost XP/Gold per cast, and casting requires a spellcraft check. If you fail, you lose the slot and any required XP/Gold.
This system replaces BioWare spells, which are no longer available as feats. Characters with BioWare epic spells may encounter bugs. Check "inc_epicspells" to modify costs, DCs, prerequisites, or add research cutscenes.
Boneshank put a lot of toggle switches into the scripts, check "inc_epicspells" for details. Here, you can also change costs, DC for any spells, prerequsiites for any spells and attatch research cutscenes.
